Using Version Management Software tools and a Continuous Integration tool, artifacts like database calculation script, reports, or security settings are defined and exported to the Version Management Software environment. An import process is developed within production or QA, tested, then all steps are automated creating a streamline process with minimal lag time between environment migrations.
