2018 is the Year for Analytics!

2018 is the Year for Analytics!  Never has it been easier for companies, people and anyone else to take advantage of how easy it is to make a big difference and impact with analyzing data and finding key insights to help run businesses better.

Here are some of the trends that I have seen in the past year that I expect to continue:

1.  Real-time Data Streaming–Leveraging tools such as Kafka and Kinesis to create real-time data streams for instant impact and analysis
2. Batch to Stream–No more need for lengthy batch processes, now we can use streaming to cut down on processing time.
3. Visualization Guided Self-Service–with tools such as Tableau and PowerBI we can easily create visualizations that speak to users and tell a story with the data that we have.
4. Graph Databases–building based on relationships of data to create faster and more intuitive systems that are not forced into the traditional relational schema restrictions.

2018 is going to be an exciting year and we expect to see a lot of great analytical questions asked and answered!
